Add new Calendar Appointments for those who are required immediately to calendar
In the Calendar area It would be nice to be able to see the meeting request on all Calendars of the invitee;s whenit is created prior to the invitees accepting the request. (This is currently an Outlook/Exchange feature that prevents overlapping appointments.
We have several shared callendars that we book an appointment for that we would like to create on appointment and have it show up for all attendees on without having the attendees have to accept the invitation (they are required and it is not optional)
It would be nice to have this type of feature
Thanks5 votesHello,
MDaemon 17.5 has been updated to create a tentative meeting on your calendar when an invite is received.

Remove all members from a mailing list using WebAdmin
Whenever we need to import a new (temporary) mailing list, we need to either physically visit the server to clean out an old list, or (via Web Admin) create an entirely new list. The latter gives the possibility of some important settings being wrong, in the hands of inexperienced administrators.
So it would be very convenient to be able to delete all members of a list in Web Admin, so a new set can be imported. Alternatively perhaps, to clone a list in Web Admin (but with no members).
5 votesHello Roger,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to include an option to remove all members from a mailing list. It has been added to MDaemon 17.0.0.

Configuration Change Logging and Notifications
I suffered an unauthorized config change incidence where my assistant admin made changes to config by adding forwarding emails to critical mailboxes.
Could you please add role based management with a config change notifier for Master admin through sms gateway or by sending alert to super-admin alternative email address.
5 votesHello,
Change logging has been implemented in Remote Administration.
At this time we do not have plans to include the ability to send notifications about changes in MDaemon. All changes are logged to the change log. Notifications could be automated through the use of scripting tools such as Powershell.

Return to Mailing Lists window after editing a mailing list
After pressing Alt+F6 the Mailing Lists window appears. When you select a mailing list to edit and hit Cancel or OK you should return to this window. Now you have to re-open this window. Not nice when you want to edit multiple mailing lists.
5 votesHello,
The Mailing List editor was updated for MDaemon 15.0.0 and now allows you to edit multiple mailing lists without having to repeatedly go through the menu system.

Account failed authentication
On the email representing "Account failed authentication numerous times: 'User' user@domain.com" it would be beneficial if the email could also contain:
- The IP address of the user trying to log into the account, to help authenticate if the attempt is from a valid location or not.
- The type of login, pop, imap or smtp. This helps point us to the proper log file to see more detail,4 votesHello,
MDaemon 14.0.0 was updated to include additional information in the account failed authentication emails.

The Account Manager needs to be more useful
When you go into the Account Manager window you cannot do any bulk changes on the accounts. I want to be able to do basic tasks, such as add a group of people to a new Group or List with a couple of clicks and not have to go through very long winded procedures or start editing dat or ini files !
4 votesHello,
This functionality was added to MDaemon 20.0.0.

Have the ActiveSync connections appear on the Sessions Tab
On the Sessions tab you can see all of the WorldClient, IMAP, POP3, SMTP and OC connections, but not the ActiveSync ones.
Have the ActiveSync connections appear on the Sessions Tab on the server as well. This would allow a single unified panel for viewing current connections.
4 votesHello Steve,
This functionality was added to MDaemon 13.6.0.

Additional method of hijack detection
Hijacked accounts behave different, there are many different IP's that login to the hijacked accounts and send Email.
So the idea is to detect how many different IP's access an account and send email.
Have two Options to configure: warn and freeze
Examples:
* Warn the admin when in 24h more than 5 different IPs have sent email
* Freeze the account when in 24h more than 15 different IPs have sent email4 votesHello,
Thanks for sharing your ideas to improve account hijack detection. MDaemon 16.5 can now limit the number of IP addresses allowed to access an account in a given time frame.

MDaemon should be able to log account creation, deletion and password change
I could not find these info in the logs Mdaemon writes in \mdaemon\logs - I think this could be a great security improvement.
4 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us. In the current version of MDaemon, changes to accounts are tracked in the logs when the changes are made via MDaemon Remote Administration. If you are using MDaemon Remote Administration and the changes are not being logged, please contact our support team for assistance.

When creating new accounts have an option to add to existing mailing lists
When I create new accounts there is no option to choose which existing mailing lists I can add the new user to.
I have to complete the new account creation procedure THEN open the mailing list editor and edit a list to add them.
4 votesHello,
MDaemon 20.0.0 includes options in the right click menus to add accounts to groups and to mailing lists.

Automate Dynamic IP screening block to permananet IP block after x attempts
I don't believe this exists. I would like to be able to automate the process that if an IP has been blocked by dynamic screening x amount of times in the past, it is automatically moved into IP screen, marked as refuse connection and notification sent.
4 votesHello,
MDaemon 17.5 has a new dynamic screening system that allows you to configure increasing penalties when an IP is blocked multiple times.

Weak password detection report
for example are accounts using short passwords, strong passwords, same as username, same passwords across multiple accounts, check against a text file of common used passwords. You should not need to actually show the passwords in the report rather give each account a password rating.
4 votesHello,
MDaemon 15.0.0 includes a weak password detection report.

Quota on a per group basis.
We have groups of people in mdaemon like we have groups in Active Directory. Certain groups require more of a quota and some require less. It would be nice to specify the quota in this way.
4 votesHello Ryan,
The latest versions of MDaemon allow you to configure a quota for a group. You can download the latest version of MDaemon from http://www.altn.com/Downloads/MDaemon-Mail-Server-Free-Trial/.

Local administration client that allows multiple sessions and more flexibility than webadmin.
The webadmin is decent but lacks features and flexibility. This makes management of the domain tricky when trying to allow more than one person to make changes to the system at any given time. A local client that acts a bit more like the mdaemon gui and allows multiple sessions would be invaluable to managing and scaling the email system.
4 votesHello,
We have constantly been updating MDaemon Remote Administration to make it more flexible and provide the same functionality as is available in the MDaemon GUI. We’ve also added the ability to more easily add groups to mailing lists while using Remote Administration.
If you have additional improvements you’d like to see in Remote Administration, please let us know.

Add a feature on MDaemon to list all admin accounts
I want to list all admin accounts on MDaemon, but I haven't been able to.
Especially when there are thousands of accounts on MDaemon, it can be difficult to know which accounts are admin accounts.
Hope to add a feature in Account manager to list all administrator accounts, thank you very much!4 votesHello,
Remote Administration has been updated to allow you to filter accounts based on the Administrator status.

Schedule management of sending emails by employees
Good morning,
I am contacting you to propose a request to add features to the MDaemon solution.
In fact, several clients ask me to be able to manage email sending schedules either internally, externally, or both.
In view of workers' rights, GDPR etc., this request makes more and more sense. For example, not authorizing the sending of external emails outside of working hours for certain employees without restricting executives and directors.
I thank you and wish you a good day.
Sincerely
3 votesMDaemon has a "Do Not Disturb" system that allows Administrators to control hours when users are allowed to access and send email.
Thanks,
