Drag and drop in CF rules plus expand window
It would be nice to have the ability to drag and drop rules in CF rules (rather than the move up and move down).
I've a lot of rules and in the GUI I can't expand the CF rules window to see all of them at once and in WebAdmin the move up/move down has a tendency to go a bit mental and start moving the wrong rule.
I usually end up hacking the CFRules.dat but that's a major pain3 votesHello,
Remote Administration now allows you to drag and drop rules to reorder them.

ActiveSync multiple Calendar choices
ActiveSync: Choose to sync additional Calendars
It would be convenient to choose which Calendars you can sync to your device. If there are reminders for a 'public' calendar, it would be nice to see them intergrated on the synced device.
3 votesHello,
Thanks for submitting your idea to sync multiple calendars using ActiveSync. MDaemon’s ActiveSync implementation currently includes all personal calendars in its responses to a device, however, some devices do not display all calendars to the user.

A way to track local Mails (with attachments), maybe Contentfilterrulesconditions!?
We need a possibility to monitor mails wich are sended internal (same domain). We want to track mail wich are used to send attachments to other employees.
So we are able to force them to use our documentsystem and not to blow up our mailsystem. But we need this without generally limit the attachment size (globally).Maybe we can implement a contentfiltercondition to track "internal-only" mails!? This could be usefull for other rules.
3 votesHello,
Thank you for submitting your idea. The content filter can already be used to do this. Create a rule that checks the from header for a local address, the X-MDaemon-Deliver-To header for a local address and then checks to see if the message size is greater than X. Then configure the appropriate actions. Another option would be to use outbound attachment linking which would remove the attachment from the email and replace it with an HTML link.
If you’d like help configuring either of these please contact our technical support team. All of our support options can be found at http://www.altn.com/support/.

CF - Restricted attachments - give us some options
Hi guys
At the very least I'd like to have the option on the CF screen so that if an attachment is restricted I can quarantine the entire message and attachment.Or, even better, have the if the attachment is restricted, add a specific header to the message and then run those messages through the CF engine so you have more granular control over what you want to do with the message and/or attachment(s)
3 votesHello Pat,
Thank you for submitting your idea to allow more granular control of attachment restrictions. If I’m understanding correctly this can already be done by creating a rule using the “If the message has a file called” condition. If you would like assistance creating a rule please contact our technical support team. All of our support options can be found at http://www.altn.com/support/.

Active Directory Group Emailing
to save creating mailing lists in mdaemon and having groups in active directory, thus managing two lots of groups.
Why not if a user sends an email to "staff@school.com" that doesnt exist in mdaemon to lookup in Active Directory for a group called "Staff" and disperse the email to each member of that group.
3 votesHello Andrew,
Thank you for taking the time to submit your idea to use AD groups for mailing lists. In the latest version of MDaemon a mailing list can be configured to pull its membership from Active Directory so that you don’t need to maintain a group in two places.

multi serveur SMTP
3 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your request to have MDaemon send email via multiple SMTP servers. This is already possible using the option to deliver outbound messages to a smart host. Simply enter a domain name in the field for the smart host and configure MX records for that domain to point to all the servers you would like MDaemon to try to send to. If you would like further assistance configuring this please contact our technical support team. All of our support options can be found at http://www.altn.com/support/.

Authentication : use a different username than the email address
Authentication : use a different username than the email address
Why give an haker the 50% of the authentication for free ?
3 votesHello,
There is a way in MDaemon to help mask your email address.
Edit the MDaemon.ini file and in the [Special] section set AllowAliasLogon=No. Save the file and then restart MDaemon. Create an account with a username such as qwe567@zzz.org. Then create an alias for actualaddress@zzz.org = qwe567@zzz.org.
You can then configure your email clients to send email using the actualaddress@zzz.org and to login using the qwe567@zzz.org address. Any login attempts using this address will fail but email will be sent/received using the address.

Read receipt
Mailer Daemon should be set up to require for all message the "read receipt".
It's very boring ask every time.
3 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea to always require a read receipt. Responding to a read receipt is a function of the email client. WorldClient can be configured to always send a read receipt when one is requested by going to Options, Personalize, and setting the option for Send Read Confirmations to Yes. If you want all of the emails you send to request read receipts you can use the content filter in MDaemon to add X-Confirm-Reading-To and Disposition-Notification-To headers to your email with the value set to your email address.

Import file .eml
To facilitate the transition to Mdaemon ability to import .eml files to a specific folder in an email.
Sorry for my English
Marco
3 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea to import eml files into a specific folder. EML files are in RFC822 format which is what MDaemon uses. To import them simply copy the files to the desired location in the user’s mailbox and rename them to .msg.
Please contact our support team for more information on where the files should be place, All of our support options can be found at www.altn.com/support.

multipop deleted message
I would like the MULTIPOP eliminate the messages one by one and not the end of the session. ES. 10 messages to download, the first 9 are successful while at the tenth session hangs. the next round will download again the first 9 posts
3 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us. Based on the testing I’ve done with MDaemon 14.5, when MultiPOP is used to download messages the delete command is issued immediately after the message is retrieved from the server. If this is not what you are seeing, please contact our support team for assistance. All of our support options can be found at www.altn.com/support/.

Allow more granular control of which files and from/to who are allowed to pass through anti-virus scanning.
I would be great if we had more granular control over which attachments along with a combo of which senders/receivers/attachments, senders/attachments or receivers/attachments were allowed pass through the SecurityPlus AV engine.
Maybe if there was some way to do a basic gateway scan on the email and if it has unscanable attachments then pass it to the CF filter where you could set up the granular rules to by-pass the AV scan depending on file extension, receiver, sender, etc...3 votesHello Pat,
Thank you for sharing your suggestion with us. This can already be done by selecting the option for “do nothing (use content filter to handle” when viruses are detected. This allows you to create content filter rules that are used to handle messages that are infected. Creating rules gives you the ability to check for attachments/senders/receivers, etc. You’ll need to make sure that you uncheck the option to refuse messages that are infected and at a minimum create a content filter to handle infected emails.

Look into compressed RAR files for restricted attachments
MDamon protects very well from threats looking into zip files for restricted attachments. But what happens when virus come into a rar file? RAR compressed format now a days is as popular as ZIP.
Please add RAR format compatibility3 votesHello,
Thanks for sharing your idea to look inside RAR files for restricted attachments. We have added this ability into MDaemon.

Only allow authenticated SMTP through MSA. Block AuthSMTP on port 25.
Only allow authenticated SMTP through MSA. Block all SMTP Authentication Attempts on port 25.
To prevent a lot of spoofed botnet authenticated SMTP hammering I would like an user option in MDaemon to completely disallow Authenticated SMTP sesssions through port 25 and only allow it through the MSA port. (admin configured on/off)
Normal incoming (mailserver->mailserver) traffic is allowed as normal through port 25 but none that includes an attempt to authenticate.
As an addition, an option in Dynamic Screening could be added to blacklist any attempts to send authenticated traffic through port 25.
This could avoid further hammering from botnet…3 votesHello,
MDaemon 20.0.0 has been updated to allow you to block all authentication on port 25.
Thanks,
Arron
