  1. FROM and REPLY should be changed when sending mail as an Alias address

    Currently, if you configure your email client to send mail as one of your alias addresses (outlook can support this, as can many other email clients), the mail gets sent out looking like this:

    From: Real User Name MainAddress@MyDomain.com On Behalf Of AliasAddress@MyDomain.com

    It would be awesome to have an option that did the following two things:

    Right now, I have to set the reply address manually, and I remove the "On Behalf Of" language of the FROM address.

    Hello,

    Thank you for sharing your idea with us to alter the From and Reply-To headers. These headers are set by the email client and functionality can vary based on the client you are using and how it is configured.

    If you are unable to find configurations for Outlook that allow the “on behalf of” to be removed, you can use the content filter in MDaemon to alter these headers.

    This should already be possible using the content filter.  The content of the meeting invites can vary greatly so you may have to adjust the rule conditions, but you should be able to look for messages that have an .ics attachment and/or that have a content-type of text/calendar.   3. Schedule management of sending emails by employees

    Good morning,

    I am contacting you to propose a request to add features to the MDaemon solution.

    In fact, several clients ask me to be able to manage email sending schedules either internally, externally, or both.
    In view of workers' rights, GDPR etc., this request makes more and more sense.

    For example, not authorizing the sending of external emails outside of working hours for certain employees without restricting executives and directors.

  4. Search Feature in MDaemon Spam Trap

    Implement a search feature for MDaemon's Spam Trap folder when viewing it from within WebAdmin. Several times I have had to look for email addresses or domain names within the SPAM Trap folder and when you have tens of thousands of emails it is a tedious task. To be able to search criteria would make this much easier

    The provided TLS security settings should be extended to include:

    REQUEST TLS FROM LIST OF INCOMING DOMAINS AS WELL AS TO LIST OF OUTGOING TO DOMAINS.

  7. Configurable time for auto backup of config files instead of Midnight

    At present the automatic backup of config files happens at midnight every night. My server isn't on 24/7 so most of the time this backup doesn't happen. Please could it be possible for you to put in a time yourself when this backup happens, eg 8am.

  8. Auto notice user by email when quota reached ?

    I think mdeamon should be have a ability to arlet user when they reach limit quota. Administrator can be compose an email arlet to appropriate with their language.

  9. Ability to Search buddy in ComAgent Windows Client

    When you want to add buddy to message list, you must goto Preferences -> Connection -> Edit -> Buddy List and tick to choose contact buddy to add to list or using manually add to import per contact.

    I want a search box, you simply input few character of name or email address and few full contact base on character appear and you can choose to add . This is decrease time to search contact

  11. Autoresponder based on day of the week.

    It would be nice to setup autoresponder based on the day of the week. This would allow part-time employees to notify sender that they are only working certain days.
    Another way could be a content filtering rule based on the day of the week.

  12. Failed MultiPOP session problem notification to enduser.

    Include a notification function to end-user when a MultiPOP
    account starts failing connections (for any reason like password
    expired or server down either permanently or temporary).
    This to ensure that problems with MultiPOP retreival doesn't go
    unnoticed by the end-user.

    We have seen MultiPOP account with limited mails coming
    through that was failing authentication due to forced password
    change but it took weeks until the user realized that something
    was wrong. If a notification mail had been sent to user directly an
    investigation could have started right away instead of days or
    even weeks later.

    Possible include some sysadmin settings…

  13. Webadmin: Add multi account in Public Folder -> Edit Access Control

    Normally, when you add permission to account, you can only add one by one. I want to webadmin support add multi email address with the same permission to access control window.

  15. Stastical logging of IP Screening

    Would love to see some type of statistical logging of the activity in IP Screening. This would be a great presentation tool for email security training to ownership and users, as well as illustrating how many thwarted spam or malicious emails were being blocked per day.

  16. Excluding files into zip attachments

    There has been an attack by a cryptographic virus whose vessel was a zip file included in another zip file. You can, by going into security -> content filter -> attachments, block an attachment by extension.

    It would be great if one could block (also by extension) the files in a zip archive.

  19. Content-filter based on type of files in compressed attachments

    It would be great to be able to create rules based on what kind of extensions are attached in compressed files.
    I.e. if there are .exe files inside zip or rar attachments. This would help prevent many virus attacks.
