  1. While I support the idea for CalDAV, CardDAV and WebDAV, a seperate Outlook Connector for Mac is needed.

Outlook for Mac does not support those protocols, nor would those protocols allow for folder sharing, out of office setup, etc.

  2. Free/Busy information can not be fetched when using MS Outlook OFT-Files

Because of recurring appointments we use MS Outlook templates (.oft-files) to manage invitations and events held in our institution. When using the OutlookConnector to keep data in sync with our MDaemon Mail Server, Outlook is not able to fetch free/busy information for Accounts (neither people- nor ressource-accounts), if the appointment is created with an template.

Proper use of .oft-files with OutlookConnector would be very helpful, having the possibilty to save (appointment-) templates in WorldClient would be even better.

Integrate native support for Microsoft's MAPI protocol on OC's server-side to enable Outlook working without a plugin.

  6. Remove SMTP and IMAP from Outlook Connector

Just an idea for Outlook Connector 15.0

    • remove SMTP client
    • remove IMAP client
    • create a local replica of user mailbox using btsync

  8. Integrate the Attachments into the localcache.db

The Outlook Connector is very Slow if the Customer have a Mailbox > 2GB, because the Files inside the Attachments Folders grown up fast over 60.000 Files. Thats not good for the OC Perfomance and search inside Mailbox and the Roaming Profile is very Slow.
I can not sell to Users with very Big Outlook Accounts MDaemon. Its only Crashing down the Performance and the Connector is then unstable. No User wait 30 secounds on "Suspended application" Applikation.

    Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion to incorporate the attachments directory into the localcache.db file. Unfortunately, incorporating the attachments into the localcache.db is unlikely to improve these issues. There are a number of features available that should help with managing the size of the attachments directory and with roaming profiles. If you’d like to explore these options please contact our support team so that we may. All of our support options can be found at http://www.altn.com/support/.

  9. change of outlook connector

If I remember correctly a few years ago there was the idea of having one OUTLOOK CONNECTOR SERVER and no longer Outlook Connctor client.

This is because the client is configured as an exchange

OUTLOOK CONNECTOR SERVER would have to work as if it were a MICROSOFT EXCHANGE

  10. Be carefull with FAT32 partition and big mailbox

    Hello

It's just share a tips that i already mentionned but if you have OC with bigmailbox and Fat32, there is a limit, (i don't know the exact reason) number of mail, size of mailbox, limit of database

but if the limit is over, attachment disapears for all mails....

Big mailboxs are often for VIP... so it was complicated when they are wan users too....

After trying several things, the only way is to convert partition in to ntfs. msdos mode and reboot No problem after...

    ERegards
