  1. Compatibility with memotoo.com

    Memotoo.com could be used to sync calendar and contats between Mac computers and Mdaemon server. In teory it is posible to sync memotoo with active sync and SyncMl servers, but it is not posible with Mdaemon. Then you could syn ical and adress book mac OSX with memotoo.com.

  2. Add support in POP for multiple clients accessing same mailbox at once

    Accessing same mailbox using POP with more than one device at the same time results in ERR: LOCKED/in use message. Understand using IMAP avoids this, but it adds additional stress and maintenance on the server. Would like to see this added for POP as other mail servers support. Thank you for the consideration and comments!

  3. List reply to option

    At present, the only options are to change the reply to Header to a nominated address or leave the reply to as the sender. It would be great to have a checkbox that could be ticked to include the sender as address as well as one nominated. This allows replies to be directed back to the list by nominating the list address, as well as including the sender.

  4. Comment lines for Trusted IPs

    I would love to be able to use comment lines to document what each Trusted IP is, otherwise unless we maintain our own document the reasons we add an IP address are lost over time.

  6. Introduce a "Test"-Button for testing DNS-BL Server-entries

    Now it isn't possible to test a DNS-BL Server entrie, if it works or not.
    When there is e Missmatch in the Server-Url there will be a "pass" check in the Log-File.
    So it is not possible to check, if a DNS-BL-Server is responding or not.

  8. Make the block by HELO/EHLO checkbox actually work!! :)

    There is a feature in the system that appears to allow blocking by HELO/EHLO but it is completely non-functional. This would be awesome to help stem brute-force attacks!

    We have not been able to find any issues with the host screening functionality. One thing to keep in mind is that, the system intentionally does not reject sessions until after the MAIL command so that authenticated sessions can be exempted from it. If you are having problems with dynamic screening please contact our support team so that we may assist you. All of our support options can be found at www.altn.com/support.

    Add a X-MD header line for a mail exchange, that was ssl/tls encrypted. Nowadays encrypted mail transfer becomes an important issue.

  10. IMAP Migration Tool

    It would be great if we could bring into MDaemon IMAP accounts from another server, preserving IMAP folders and so on...

    We are facing plenty email domain migrations (new customers) and it is hard to accomplish this task.
    If we could get one tool to manage this I'm sure we could get to much more customers.

  13. Put the Log files in this folder in Setup, Server Settings, Logging,

    When you specify "Put the Log files in this folder", it would be nice if it put all the log files in that folder, INCLUDING THE BES LOGS, and Webserver Logs!

    Try This: Specify a new log folder destination and Apply, Stop MDaemon Services, delete all the logs or move the from the old MDaemon\Logs folder. Start the Mdaemon services. Look at your old LOG folder and confirm that you still have logs being put in the wrong place.

    Screening Log, does not contain source, SMTP, POP, IMAP, etc. Postmaster emails about dynamic screening also do not contain source.

  16. MDaemon compatibility with CRM Microsoft Dynamics 2013

    MDaemon (outlook connector or activesync outlook client configuration) isn’t compatible with Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2013 Outlook client. There are several problems of stability and synchronization.
    We are in the end of this CRM implementation in our companies and we hardly need your support for solving these issues to the complete success of this very important project.

  17. The ability to manage the WebAdmin panel via a mobile device

    The admin panel can only be used while at a computer/laptop. On my phone i cannot get past the second screen because the phone will only allow 2 windows. the problem is the 3rd window is where you actually manage the account. unlock it, increase the quota, etc.... i cannot get there on my mobile device, so i have to wait until i get back to the office before i can help the client.

    Send an email to admin account when local and remote queues reach high levels that doesn't require a separate piece of monitoring software.

  19. Bulk email move by date

    Users are lazy and want everything simple. We have a lot of users with 30, 40, 50,000+ emails in their Inbox. They complain that the system is slow (the server is very fast). I've explained to them how to manually move them to different folders, but its very time consuming and they say they don't have time to do it.
    Could we get a feature that would allow emails to move their email from "folder x" to "folder y (create the folder if it doesn't exist)" from "start date" to "end date".

    Hello Paul,

    Thank you for sharing your suggestion with us. The AccountPrune utility in MDaemon already allows you to move messages older than X days to another folder. You can find documentation on using the command line utility in the MDaemon\App\AccountPrune.txt file. If you prefer its is also possible to move the messages from one folder to another using PowerShell, or any other scripting language.

  20. Count not License/User for the JOURNAL-User for archiving

    right now we need a user acount and a license for journaling/archiving issues. Also for the ADMIN-Account that is only used for MDaemon-internal purpose.

    It would be very kind of you if you could exclude theese two accounts from license counting. Thanks

    Thanks for sharing your idea with us to exclude certain accounts from licensing. The MDaemon system account is already excluded. If your MDaemon is not excluding the account named MDaemon please contact our support team for assistance. All of our support options can be found at www.altn.com/support.

    Unfortunately, if we provided a means of not counting an archive/journaling account as a user account it would leave MDaemon open to abuse.
