Outbreak Protection Options
Currently there are three options:
Viruses, Spam and IWF Content which can either be blocked in real time or accepted for filtering.
I would like to make this four options and have a separate option for bulk spam so I can set this for filtering whilst all the others are blocked in real time. The reason being is that I have not had a single legitimate email being dropped under spam, IWF or Viruses but I have had quite a few legitimate emails being dropped under bulk spam. Thank you.
1 voteHello,
Thank you for the suggestion to add the ability to control the fate of messages flagged as bulk spam by outbreak protection independently of messages flagged as spam. It will be considered for future versions.

location screening smtp filter
Currently with location screening, any countries in the blacklist, the emails are simply dropped. In the main this has worked well with blocking 90% of the countries that we never expect to receive emails from and I think has really helped with malware.
However, once every few months, we miss an email that is sent by a helpdesk system or CRM system which for some reason is located in a country in the blacklist even though the supplier we are dealing with is not located in that country and their usual emails come through another system. I suspect that we…

Can you please provide a button to open the current log
the Logs in the mdaemon window only hold the last couple of lines of activity. older activity is written to logs.
i do have to look something up that happened just a bit before. the log-dir, howerver, has a lot of files. it would be very nice to be able to e.g. right-click a logs tab and find a command that would open the current file for this log in e.g. notpad.
1 voteHello Thomas,
Thank you for sharing your idea to add an option to open the current log file from the MDaemon user interface. It will be considered for future versions.

Content filter that checks recipients address book
Add a content filter setting that specifies that allows you to state that if sender is in the recipient's private address book, do xyz. Mdaemon's Spam filter seems to have a rule where spam rules are not processed if sender is in recipient's private address book.
Could the same be done for content filter rules to ensure that content filtering marketing junk emails is not applied to senders in recipient's address book.
1 voteHello Robert,
Thank you for sharing your idea to add the ability for the content filter to check the recipient’s address book. It will be considered for future versions.

Automatic Whitelist in Backscatter with Domain Sharing
Hi,
I want to suggest if ever the domain sharing is active, the email from other mail server with the same domain should be treated as local email and automatically whitelisted or exempted from "Backscatter Protection Verification" since the IP Address was already added on domain sharing.
The problem arise when the mailing list email from the other server was rejected by the receiving server due to "550 5.1.1 Backscatter Protection detected an invalid or expired email address"
1 voteHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to automatically exempt IPs from backscatter protection when they are set up for domain sharing. The best approach, in this case, is to add a notification address to the mailing list so that messages are not sent with a NULL Mail From. This can also improve the deliverability of messages on the internet and sets an address that can be notified when there are delivery issues.
With all that being said, we will look into your request for future versions.

Exclude from sending hold time settings
I think it would be nice if there was a function that would exclude emails from a specified email address from the send hold time settings. I want to send emergency emails such as server alert emails immediately.
1 voteHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to add the ability to exclude messages from message recall delay based on the sender. We will consider this for future versions.
There is currently an option to not delay messages to local recipients, which may help in some cases.

Add Templates and ability to publish mailing list messages to a website
Some basic predefined HTML templates and the ability to publish a mail to some Web space for those who couldn't view messages successfully would also be fantastic.

For public's folder, is there anyway to have only html links for files..
Hello
For public folder's Is there anyway, for next version of Mdaemon/oc to have a specific behaviour and "an option" for public folder's, (which contains mails) to have only link to attachments, they contained
I'd like to publish some informatiion into public folders, but if i synchronise them into wan with OC, bandwith will not be enough, and all public data will be replicated to the pc's wan users.
Publics folders can actually be used in LAN with OC, or Wan with OC with TSE and Citrix, but... not Wan with OC... or just also for few data like contacts…
0 votesHello Cyril,
Thank you for sharing another great idea with us. Just so that everyone is aware the current documents folders in MDaemon cannot be viewed from OutlookConnector. Your request to support links to documents will be considered for future versions of MDaemon.

Ability to configure signatures by group.
It would also be useful to have the ability to apply different signatures to different user groups and domains. Ie. one for Sales, one for Technical and so on...

Assigning signatures by group will be considered for future versions of MDaemon.

Add an option to toggle the MSA port exemption from PTR on and off.
Include and option so that the MSA (port 587 by default) can be subject to the same kind of filtering as other SMTP ports to help with filtering for compromised accounts.
0 votesHello Hans,
Thank you for sharing your idea to enforce PTR lookups on MSA ports. It will be considered for future versions.

Debug Logging selectable for one account or domain for troubleshooting
By selecting one account/emailaddress or domain makes troubleshooting easier. Now all debug information comes in a large logfile where you have to search or use third party tools to make a quick analysis. Also add the ability to select multiple protocols for this troubleshooting session, like SMTP-In, MutiPop, SMTP-Out, etc.
0 votesHello Dave,
Thanks for sharing your idea with us to enable debug logging for one account or domain. Would enabling debug logging for a single account or domain be more valuable than a log parser that had the ability to filter the log files by user or domain? If it would be more valuable, can you help me to understand why?

Allow MDIM users to see contacts from other domains
I cannot set Mdaemon to allow a client to view more than one domain (but not all domains) in the search contact list. I have a number of clients that need to communicate with members on other domains, but I don't want them to see all the domains.
Could you not use the Mdaemon functionality in place that allows me to share contacts between domains for email use for IM as well?
0 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to allows users to add contacts from other domains, but not allow them to see all domains. It will be considered for future versions.

Set all unread folder as the default folder
Can we tell Mdaemon to set the all unread search folder as the default folder to go to when logging into Mdaemon Webmail. At the moment, it always go to the inbox folder by default.
Thank you.
