An error occurred while saving the comment An error occurred while saving the comment Pat commentedThanks Arron . My IPShield.dat file is full of hashed comments to id which IP address are for what but of course I can't see any of that via the GUI of web admin.
Can I add to this that at the very least the IPShield.dat be available via the RA/Web admin config files section?Pat shared this idea · -

I was just thinking would it actually be possible to use the SPF record to control this?
Here's my issue, I've had a lot of emails hitting my server that spoof one of my domains in the from address so I've enabled the "Check FROM header address against IP Shield" in the IPShield, however I have a number of external systems that send email on our behalf, MailChimp, Send In Blue, MailGun, etc.
Now these apps can send mail to other people at other external domains no problem but when these emails hit my server they get stopped so I am adding the CIDR blocks for the various apps to my IPShield, fairly messy, plus it would need updating if and when these companies change their sending IP addresses or add to them.
What I was thinking is that if MD could check the SPF record for the domain and say right that IP, or using the SPF Include tag, that group of IP's can send mail for this domain then allow the email in.
That way the lookup, etc. is more dynamic rather than static
