  1. Deferred email in Outlook

Deferred sending is available in web client, can this be added to the MDaemon Connector for Outlook?

  2. Manage folder sharing in OC centrally from MD

In the OC, there is a folder sharing, which should be used instead of forwarding the mails in the absence.
If you select the folder that the authorized person enters, you can select 4 preset profiles (guest, user, advanced user, administrator) below, as well as include the hooks for subfolders.
This should be done as default by MD.

  3. Internal Email support for out of office/busy notification when recepient is selected from address book

When you send an email and choose a recepient from your own staff (domain) a message appears above the recepient saying he is out of office. I assume this data is being picked up from the out of office section of the recepients account. This can save sending unnecessary emails when people are on holiday or away

  4. Outlook Connector update

How about making the MDaemon Connector installation also uninstall the OC installation - currently it leaves the old OC installation in place ... very messy. Also, I know it's been a few years but the "Automatic Update" feature still doesn't work on 64-bit systems - but at least it's working on 32-bit systems now.

    Hello Edmund,

Thank you for sharing your feedback. There is a bug in the automatic update system that is preventing it from removing OC 5.0.1. The 64 bit automatic update system is working in the current version. If you are having problems with it, please contact our support team for further assistance. All of our support options can be found at www.altn.com/support.

    Thanks,
    Arron

  5. fix to messages sent from secondary POP Accounts

Secretary Using Outlook Connector, sends emails from outlook using two additional POP accounts that are only set for send, does not save emails from the two additional accounts to sent items folder even though all accounts, outlook connector account 1, pop account 2 and pop account three are all setup to use outlook localcache.db for email data file. Emails send, but are not saved from the two pop accounts. The two pop accounts are not used to receive emails.

  6. group + inbox

Gouping messages in INBOX for SENDER would be very usefull to organize the messages there. This would show alle mails from one SENDER in an own Group for each sender . Right now only grouping after date ( Today, yesterday, last week ) ist possible but this isn't useful for correspondance tracking or getting a good overview

  7. OC: Make OC work stable with large mailboxes and increase speed for wan users

OC has massive problems with large mailboxes. Especilay if used from wan side. It crashes Outlook 2010 very often. It is difficult to explain customers to pay for support if this is not fixed over years.

    Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion to develop a connector for EMClient. According to the documentation I’ve read, EMClient is able to access Outlook.com, which uses ActiveSync. There is an ActiveSync server available for MDaemon which the client should be able to use to access MDaemon.

    Thanks,
    Arron

  9. Retrieve setup information from ActiveDirectory

The manual installation of the OC is very expensive in larger environments (50-100 users).

Will there be a solution for this in the future?
    User information from the AD?

    Hello,

Thank you for sharing your idea with us. Outlook Connector has been updated to automatically retrieve setup information from MDaemon. The user simply needs to enter their email address and password. Outlook Connector will attempt to automatically find the mail server and retrieve any configurations that are configured by the Administrator in MDaemon.

    Thanks,
    Arron

  10. Resync of Calendar OC on a time basis

Many of my clients are law offices that the attorneys in OC stay on their Calender screen all day, while their office personal add and change their appointments. They have to manually resysc by clicking on mail and then back to calender. If they forget they can commucate the wrong available time to their cleints

Thank you for sharing your idea on re syncing a calendar in Outlook Connector. Currently this is available in Outlook Connector.

From inside of Outlook, Click on Tools | Options | Mail Setup Tab. Click on Send/Receive button. Put check mark in Schedule an automatic send/receive every minutes and select the amount of time.
Click on Close and OK. Next Click on Tools | Account Settings | Edit the Outlook Account in question. Click on the Send/Receive Tab. Select the Calendar from the list of folders. Click on OK and Close.

So now every time that you send and received, it will trigger a sync of the calendar. Please let me know if this was what you were wanting. If not please provide more details.

    Thanks
    Arron

  11. How about a release of OC that actually does not cause unneccesary work for IT-deparments due to poor performance, causing Outlook to freeze

How about a release of OC that actually does not cause unnecessary work for IT-deparments due to its poor performance? We have had a tremendous amount of Outlook freezes/crashes over the last years due to the poorly working product (even after following all best practises provided by Alt-n). Most of the time the only solution is to rename the localcache.db so a new one is created which ironically is never recommended by Alt-n.

  13. Out of Office send only once to each sender

When the Out of Office Assistant is enabled, only one reply is sent to each sender, even if you receive multiple messages from that person.

  15. Send meeting requests in icalander format as default

IT would be VERY useful to have the option "Send Meeting requests in iCalanser format" set as a enabled as default.

Not sending out in ical format causes issues with many mobile devices.

It would also be useful to have this option enforceable at the server side, rather than the client. MS Outlook 2010 has the ical format option enabled as default.

    Thanks

  17. Optimize the language with OC

The language with OC is not optimize, when you install the OC in English version some folders are still in French (the server is in French), it's a real problem for the final users which understand not the french and it's even more disturbing in World Client.

  18. tasks: is it possible to create ask task to other users, and follow it with mails notification

    hi

  19. Location of OC attachment folder

I feel the attachment folder should be considered “local” data while the account details should be roaming. At the moment if a user has a roaming profile set up then all the attachments are saved into that folder at logoff, which duplicates the data and can take a long time with a big mailbox. If the user logs on to a different PC the account details can be populated from the roaming data but the attachments will come down from Mdaemon.

Just like an Exchange account works….
