Have shared folders display in Activesync devices
It would be very convenient to have shared folders display in Activesync devices as standard. At the moment one has to do all sorts of tricks with extra accounts to get shared folders, contacts and calendars.
Hello,
Support for accessing Shared Folders via ActiveSync was added to MDaemon 14.0.0.
Thanks,
Arron

Hello,
In order to access shared folders via ActiveSync you will need to ensure that you have valid software renewal coverage for your ActiveSync license. You can check this in MDaemon by going to Help / Register your Alt-N products / ActiveSync. The registration status field will show the current state of your ActiveSync license.
If you'd like to renew your license you can do so by going to http://www.altn.com/Purchase/Software/UpgradeProtection/. If you have problems or questions about the renewal please contact our customer service team at sales@helpdesk.altn.com.Thanks,

I would extend this idea to Exchange Activesync. It is especially frustrating to have calendar+notes+journal, but not public folders. So now, I use two accounts, one IMAP for e-mail and the other one, with no emails just for calendar&co. Isn't that stupid?

I strongly believe that support for shared PIM - shared-contacts, shared-calendars, shared-etc - is needed to open up MDaemon (& by extension the Alt-N product suite) to a larger audience, and not only ms+windows+outlook clients, as is currently the case - especially in the fast-growing mobile-space.
We're seeing wider adoption of other stacks other than this specific one, and using such a fairly ubiquitous protocol as AS will also reduce the management-overhead caused by trying to maintain OC on numerous clients (& the conflicts sometimes caused by client-side plugins).
Email is handled very well my IMAP(S)-IDLE, but for PIM shared-contacts & shared-cals are most pressing, followed by shared-tasks/notes/journals/etc
