I would like the option to install WorldClient on a separate machine
I would like the option to install WorldClient on a separate machine from MDaemon. Currently WorldClient must be running on the same machine with MDaemon and its not very secure to have an open port on your firewall that connects to your mail server on the LAN.

Definitely, it is very important! My security auditors always advice to split Web/ActiveSync access and email server.

In Addition the separate WorldClient Server machine furthermore should implements the ActiveSync functionality. Then we can place this machine in a DMZ to serve external clients (WebAccess or SmartPhones). This would be a huge security improvement.

You could use the extended IMAP4rev1 client you already developed for Outlook Connector to connect the remote instance of WorldClient to the MDaemon server.
