Better warning when unable to reach altn-servers for licensing
You get an unclear warning from MDaemon if it can't reach the altn-servers to check the license. It basically just say that the system will shutdown in 7 days. In the log you can see what the problem is, but not what is going to happen. The GUI doesn't tell you anything. A 7 days warning is really bad during summer vacation. There should be a lot more days and a better explanation in the mail.

Thank you for sharing your idea for improving the email that is sent to the postmaster. The inclusion of a better explanation along with increasing the number of days before shutting the server down, will be considered for future versions.

In our case there was a reconfigure of our main firewall that prevented MDaemon from using https. It's bad that MDaemon waited some weeks until suddenly warning that it should shutdown in 7 days. It should send that mail immediately after the problem was detected and not just silently note it in the logs.
