Modern WebUI for Worldclient
Worldclient looks great. I've been using it was introduced, and "Globe" was the template to use :-) ****, I've been using MDaemon since the 2.x days. But let's face it. It's a clone of Outlook and it looks very dated.
Take a look at the up and coming web mail projects other companies are doing.
They're not only beautiful to look at, but fully HTML 5 compliant and modern.
Lookout has been around for several years, and it's time to do a new template from the ground up. Get inspired, and brings us something on par of other web projects.
I would love to install one of the above mentioned programs, but they require to give every account IMAP access. Worldclient it's integrated with Mdaemon, so it doesn't need this requirement.
Maybe some kind of licensing or integration could be done to any of the above projects?
Anyway, up to you Arvel to decide if such an endeavor is worthy.

I think a modern theme would approach e-mail in three ways. An Inbox (for one time receipt of messages, newsletters, welcome messages), A notification center (for shipping notices, status updates), and a conversation hub (where back and forth conversations are held, displayed and managed in easy to follow threads)
Gmail is kind of hitting that if you set it up right. And of course a cloud is needed to help tune the intelligence of determining what messages fit into what category. E-mail is a dying system. A new web-based client needs to adapt to turn these old messages into communication displays that the new generation is used to (Noise, Notifications, Chats/Conversations). No one reads those "welcome to our newsletter - thanks for signing up" messages. There's no reason a "Thank You" reply to a long back-forth discussion of many important details needs it's own message at the top of the inbox. And a delivery notice? put that right next to the shipping notice, which is right next to the delivery notice.Skinning a web mail client is not going to make it modern. It needs to intelligently sort and manage messages for people so e-mail becomes an enhancement of the inbox, rather than just the same old "click, read, next" thing we do every morning.
