Reverse Lookup Feature
The Reverse Lookup is a very valuable tool however it can create unhappy customers when email gets rejected and people don’t understand why. Because the email connection gets dropped it becomes very difficult to locate the sender information and then try to whitelist the email IP or name.
What you need to have on this page is not just a button to put and IP or name into a list but a filtered log with check boxes next to the names in the log. It should have Email Address, IP Address, Domain Name, the Date and time recorded and a check box. This would be what is in each row. I can scroll up or down and a search box can also allow us to type in the email name and then when it finds it we check off the box and it is white listed.
Currently the way it works now I have to call the customer try and get an email address find out which email got rejected and then try and see if it was because of the reverse lookup, open the all logs search through the all logs for a name and then read all the strings to find out what’s going on.
It would be much easier to read a list of all rejected emails as I have described and quickly ask a customer to look at the list and see if they can see the email of someone they need to have whitelisted rather then how it works currently.
Hello,
Thank you for sharing your idea to offer an easier method for finding messages rejected by reverse lookups. It will be considered for future versions.
Thanks again,
