Improved display of Calendar Notes on Day/Week View of Calendar
When entering notes in an appointment, formatting for a new line or paragraph is correct. When viewing this appointment in the calendar day/week view the formatting is removed and the information is displayed as a continuous string of characters or the carriage return codes are included depending upon which theme is chosen.
This makes deciphering addresses, phone numbers and other characters challenging without having to take the additional step of opening the appointment to read the simplest of notes
Hello,
This has been fixed.
Thanks,

Hi Jason,
My apologies, our records show we reached out on the 23rd. Can you verify that you didn't receive the messages? Perhaps they were flagged as spam? I'd like to make sure we don't have an issue in our system.
I've confirmed with our support team they have received your email, you should be receiving a response soon.
Thanks,
Arron -

Hi Aaron,
I updated my profile to trigger comment updates so I'll keep a closer eye on the request than I have been doing. Also I opened a ticket this morning to see if that helps. Thanks for the follow up and the actions on my request. Very much appreciate your efforts and assistance

Hi Aaron,
No I haven't received any contact as of yet. I have another client asking for this again today. It would be terrific if the support people have an answer for us.
-
Hi Jason,
Have you received the communication from our support team?
Thanks,
Arron -
Hi Jason,
Rather than have you submit a support request, I sent the information to our support team and asked them to create the ticket and contact you.
Thanks,
Arron -
Hi Jason,
Thanks for the additional information. I found the issue with the popup not honoring the formatting and have submitted it to the developers to be looked at. I'm still now clear on where else the formatting is not being maintained. Would you open a ticket with our support team so you can send screen shots and we can investigate the issue further? You can submit the request at http://www.altn.com/Support/RequestSupport/.
Thanks,
Arron

Hi Arron,
It's easier to describe with a set of screen shots if I can send direct that would be helpful. I'll try reproduce with text.
Assume you are putting the following notes into a new appointment...
232 Amud Mulwany 1 - 4
234 Sergei Noon
230 John Smith 3 - 4When you see them on the week or day calendar view they come out like this
232 Amud Mulwany 1 - 4 234 Sergei Noon 230 John Smith 3 - 4
or depending upon the screen resolution (determined by the column width of the calendar view) it might wrap like
232 Amud Mulwany 1 - 4 234 Sergei Noon
230 John Smith 3 - 4Another example would be the following
10445 55 street
780 993 1817
Amud Mulwany
John
StephenComes out in the week view as
10445 55 street 780 993
1817 Amud
Mulwany
John StephenAnd the day view looks
10445 55 street 780 993 1817 Amud Mulwany John Stephen
Lastly if you hover over the appointment in the Calendar you get.
10445 55 street <br> 780 993 1817 <br> Amud
Mulwany <br> John <br> StephenThe driver for the request is I have a number of clients who want to use the Calendar to manage meeting rooms. They'd prefer not to have to go into each appointment to see a "sorted" view of the notes but rather be able to see a week at a glance. The week/day view doesn't seem to honour the line breaks though interestingly hovering over the appointment shows the HTML code that is in place but still isn't honoured
Also as you can see with the second example people use line breaks to separate information to make it easier to scan. Because of strong multicultural workplaces as well as the trend to less traditional spelling of names, names that might be intuitively first or last for someone from one cultural background may not be so for someone from another. When we look at the appoitment in the second set is the appointment with Amud, Mulwany, John and Stephen or with Amud, Mulwany and John Stephen or with Amud Mulwany and John Stephen or
Also you can see that numbered sequences are tougher to separate as in the case of the phone number added in which was split across two lines. Clients find it annoying to have to work that out when it displays correctly in the detailed view.
We also tried separating with commas for example which does help but the clients find that a bit of a klug when they are simply used to hitting return to separate idea as they now have to comman AND return to make the notes look ok.
Hoping it's a simple fix as it seems like it is simply a view issue given the line breaks are clearly be recongised just not fully honored.
Thanks for looking at this on our clients behalf.
Jason
