  1. Add an option to toggle the MSA port exemption from PTR on and off.

Include and option so that the MSA (port 587 by default) can be subject to the same kind of filtering as other SMTP ports to help with filtering for compromised accounts.

  2. Debug Logging selectable for one account or domain for troubleshooting

By selecting one account/emailaddress or domain makes troubleshooting easier. Now all debug information comes in a large logfile where you have to search or use third party tools to make a quick analysis. Also add the ability to select multiple protocols for this troubleshooting session, like SMTP-In, MutiPop, SMTP-Out, etc.

    Hello Dave,

Thanks for sharing your idea with us to enable debug logging for one account or domain. Would enabling debug logging for a single account or domain be more valuable than a log parser that had the ability to filter the log files by user or domain? If it would be more valuable, can you help me to understand why?

    Thanks,
    Arron

  3. Use ActiveDirectory groups in XMPP

It would be nice to have features with Xmpp that would pick up on Active Directory groups

  4. Allow MDIM users to see contacts from other domains

I cannot set Mdaemon to allow a client to view more than one domain (but not all domains) in the search contact list. I have a number of clients that need to communicate with members on other domains, but I don't want them to see all the domains.

Could you not use the Mdaemon functionality in place that allows me to share contacts between domains for email use for IM as well?

  5. Set all unread folder as the default folder

Can we tell Mdaemon to set the all unread search folder as the default folder to go to when logging into Mdaemon Webmail. At the moment, it always go to the inbox folder by default.

    Thank you.

  6. Subaddressing should work when getting mail using multipop.

When mail is received thru MultiPOP subaddressing does not work, it goes just to the Inbox. It should work the same way like when mail is received thru SMTP.

    Hello,

Thank you for sharing your idea with us to implement subaddressing for mail collected via MultiPOP.  In order for subaddressing to work via MultiPOP, the provider of your email account would need to allow messages to be delivered to a sub-addressed address.  For example, if the account you are collecting mail from is "user@domain.com" it would need to except a message to user+folder@domain.com in order for subaddressing to work. Most providers do not allow this.

What exactly are you trying to accomplish?  Are you just wanting to route messages collected from MultiPOP to be routed to a specific folder?

    Thanks,

    Arron
