  1. Alias statistics i MDaemon.

Statistics and "Last Usage" on main account name is already included but it is very difficult to track how frequent a user Alias is actually used and/or receiving any mails.

People tend to want alias created but very seldom used and it would be good for me as a sysadmin to track the usage and possible remove unused aliases.

Or even better, find alias that receives large amount of spam.

Today all alias traffic is merged into the main account statistics and it is difficult to see if certain addresses catches more spam than others.

  2. close mdaemon version information

There is a feature to close mdaemon version information on webmail and remote services, so that attackers do not know about application bugs from the out-of-date version used by us today

  6. Sending emails to ComAgent contacts using (Right-Click -> Send Email)

Sending emails to ComAgent clients would be easier if necessary "right-click" menu was developed, which then it opened web-browser with "To" field filled.

  9. Dynamic mail forward to external host, Similar to Multipop

Dynamic Mail forward to external host, similar to what is done in Multipop, ie based on the users POP access, can save bandwidth for those who forward mail to external host to read mail when outside the office.

  10. More detailed ACLs on Mailboxes

It would be very comfortable and helpful, if ACLs on Mailboxes were more differentiated. Particulary a differentiation between mailbox owner and those who have additional access to that mailbox is important when it comes to critical operations like deleting a entries.

    Example:
If a user (e.g. secretary) has the rights to add and delete entries in a mailbox of his directors or colleague, he can not only delete the contacts and appointments which he added to this mailbox, but also the contacts and appointments which were maintained by the mailbox owner.

So for business use cases it would be a…

  13. Comagent - collapsible folder tree hierarchy

At the moment the folder hierarchy is defined by a slight indentation of sub folders but it's not enough to make the differentiation clear.

If you could make these more pronounced and also collapsible so I can expand lists of sub folders as I wish it'd be more user friendly.

This applies to the folder list view displayed all the time in the client and also the view presented when you go to add or remove folders.

  15. Make a public folder "watchable" for different kinds of events

Let a user optionally subscribe to a public folder event notification system, which will send either an IM or a tiny mail message to tell the user if a new "object" has been created/changed/deleted. With "object" I mean any out of mail message, contact, meeting, task, note, journal entry, document.

  17. Spam Trap handling from within MD GUI.

Add "Spam Trap" handling from within the MD GUI so you don't need to login to WorldClient/WebAdmin to administrate this.

Add same functionality as in WebAdmin with "Release" and "Release + Copy to non spam folder".

    Hello Walter,

Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.

The ability to lock an account after X authentication failures already exists in MDaemon.

The ability to see the list of attached files already exists in WorldClient.

You have already submitted your idea to allow domain administrators to manage public folders.

I will create a new idea idea for your suggestion to be able to search contacts based on criteria other than name so we can track them independently.

Your idea to allow password expiration to be configured per domain will be considered for future versions.

    Thanks,

    Arron

  19. Add NFSv4 ACL to folders and folder items

Implement NFSv4 ACL on folders and folder items on the server and use full ACLs for WorldClient, and proper subsets for IMAP ACLs and OC ACL.

FOLDERS: this would simply require to change what MDaemon writes in HIWATER.MRK, section [Access Control], from current

    john@example.com=lrswipcda

    to something like the following

    john@example.com=rwxpDdaARWcCos:fd

FOLDER ITEMS: extend Imap.mrk record adding a bitmap for full NFSv4 ALC flags

  20. Allow MDaemon plugins register IMAP namespaces

Current documentation about developing a plug-in for MDaemon is focused on processing messages in the SMTP flow.

Extend MDaemon to allow a new type of plug-ins that can register one or more IMAP namespaces and handle IMAP requests for them.
