Adding a WorldClient Android App!
Instead of using the ActiveSync (Which causes a NUMBER of issues with peoples personal info/data), I feel Mdaemon would be MUCH better suited with an separate APP for Android that allowed completely separate control/ snyc of Email/ Cal/ Contacts. We have been a user of Altn products for 10 years (love it), and would be happy to pay a reasonable price for a server side product and then the APP price!
Hello,
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. Unfortunately, at this time we have no plans to develop our own WorldClient application for Android or other mobile devices.
Thanks,
Arron

You should consideer this app idea to go further on it. Every app on the market sucks, and yours will be completely fantastic.

It would be interesting to use an app (Android) for interfacing the webmail, why? prevent it with a generic client sent the mail is marked Spam, because of the various Mobile Operators

Having an app specifically design for mobile phone viewing and would support current and future features of MDaemon like
1. Email
2. Carddav and caldav support
3. Instant messaging
4. online document viewing for doc, docx, xls, pdf, etc.
This would make MDaemon more appealing to end users as we know that majority of people nowadays checks on their mobile device more often than their desktop/laptop/tablet. -

Worldclient works better than Outlook IMHO, because it is a direct product of the developer. Likewise, using an Mdaemon app for email/contacts/calendar in place of a 3rd party technology like Activesync would improve reliability and reduce the troubleshooting headache if there are problems - 1 product, 1 provider. Including Apple & the latest Blackberry OS would be very useful.

ActiveSync suffer from certain restriction like :
- public folder not handled
- unable to use ComAgent like services (this would be nice for our support team user when they are out of office
- multiple calendar folder synchronisation not available actually -

I would love to see a dedicated WorldClient/MDaemon app on android. A fully functioning mail client, connecting directly to MDaemon would provide perfect support for the mail platform and remove any niggles that Activesync may throw up.
