Continents, Country and Countries
Continents, Country and Countries
New Feature Requests
New Statistics Reports in MDaemon.
Continents, and possibly Countries
By Continent and Country: Messages accepted, Messages Refused
By Continent and Country: Successful Authentication Attempts, Failed Authentication Attempts.
I would also like to see all logs of any authentication failures to indicate country of origin in the log possibly on the same log line to help provide some source information.
I would like to see a feature in the future that includes an alert to the mail admin anytime someone is able to successfully log in from a new continent, or another country.
This could possibly alert us of a compromised account, etc..
World Client should indicate a list of continents and countries of any successful logins.
This might require setting our home country location for comparison. It would be helpful that could be set per email account as some workers are remote or overseas, etc..
This could later be used to prevent other countries from ever logging into an account based on the email account country setting. Basically if the source IP is from another country, it would be used as part of the authentication to prevent and deny access.
Wouldn't that be more secure than just hoping someone else in another country isn't able to just guess your passwords.
Later, you could turn on Two Factor Authentication as required when attempting to authenticate to an email account from another country if it doesn't match their current country settings.
Hello Tray,
Thank you for your suggestions to implement screening based on countries. The latest version of MDaemon already supports this functionality.
Thanks again,
Arron

There is no report to indicate number of successful logins by country.
