IMAP Migration Tool
It would be great if we could bring into MDaemon IMAP accounts from another server, preserving IMAP folders and so on...
We are facing plenty email domain migrations (new customers) and it is hard to accomplish this task.
If we could get one tool to manage this I'm sure we could get to much more customers.
Hello,
MDaemon 16.0.0 includes an ActiveSync migration tool that can be used to migrate Email, calendar, contacts, tasks, and notes from any ActiveSync server to MDaemon.
Thanks,

I know this is an old subject, but I do find it perplexed, how is it we can migrate away from Mdaemon to almost any other system, but migrating to MDaemon is a real pain.
As a service provider, this si problematic were asked to migrate normally to Exchange on-premise or away from Exchange on-premise.
Right now we're migrating to Mdaemon from Exchange our selves internally and frankly its a real pain, we resorted to using mailstore for the migration of email which is by no means seamless and only does email nothing else.
However, migrating from MDaemon to almost any other system is a breeze.
And please don't get me started on the Mdaemon migration tool... we never got that to work with Exchange.
Is it so much to ask?

We choose to not develop an IMAP migration tool because there are already a number of 3rd party IMAP migration tools available for free.
Thanks for your feedback.

I think you should support any IMAP server instead of any ActiveSync server.
If there are have a tool that allow to migrate IMAP Accounts from any server to Mdaemon, it would be great. -

Hello Arron, Didn't find any tool that could achieve a IMAP migration properly. I did find many issues:
- Some Attachments were downloaded as WinMail.dat and were not accessible
- Errors encountered with some IMAP folders or single Emails
- Not handy tools, (command line), necessary to specify account by account, IMAP folder by IMAP folder. It would be desirable something like MultiPOP for IMAP....(integrated into MDaemon like MultiPOP, of course...)
