Failed login attempts log to windows event log
Would be interesting if we have the posibility to log failed login attempts on worldclient to windows event log. This will allow transfer such events to syslog on perimetral security system and act, for example, banning the source ip in such perimetral security equipment. We are doing it with smtp failed login attempts with very good results. MDaemon remains isolated from such attacks.
Thanks for such excelent software.1 voteHello Joan,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to add failed login attempts from Worldclient to the windows event log. This will be considered for future versions.
The latest version of MDaemon can be configured to monitor all inbound connections for authentication failures and block IP addresses that exceed the configured limits.

Calendar Statistics and Free Items
For the Calendar Statistics in WorldClient to be useful for analyzing the personal work planning, items marked as "Show time as: Free" should not be counted towards the total hours (otherwise Holidays that you enter into the calendar add 24 hours to your statistics).
1 voteHello Christian,
Thank you for sharing your idea to not include events that have show time as “free” in the calendar statistics. It will be considered for future versions.

WorldClient password field doesn't like trailing space and cr from copy/paste
Copy/paste into password field adds a trailing space and sometimes carriage return depending on where you copy from. Login script should detect these trailing characters and allow the login if it is correct otherwise.
1 voteHello,
We will consider adding this to future versions of WorldClient. I am slightly concerned that removing one potential characters from the end of a password will make it easier for an account to be abused. I can’t see somebody that is trying to guess a password adding a CRLF to it. Thank you for sharing your idea with us.

Improve Session Cookies
I have multiple personal email addresses for differing corporate entities within the single MDaemon installation. If I use WebMail and log into a second email account, the first email session is terminated with "Invalid cookie for the requested session".
1 voteHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to improve the session cookies in WorldClient. It will be considered for future versions. There is a potential work around that may help you with the current version. If you are using Chrome, you should be able to enable Incognito mode for each window and it should allow you to login to multiple accounts at the same time.

Provide an global option to disable preview
We discovered that is not possible to disable completely preview under Lookout theme: users can re-enable preview manually.
Under cryptolocker attacks is dangerous (according to us) to let users have preview, it's better if they can just see email listing so they can analize (according sender, subject etc.) if they want or not want open it and which attachment are enclosed.
Automatically opening email, as preview does is less secure if there is a dangerous script enclosed.
We ask an option to definitely disable preview for ALL (gray out button or similar)Sorry for my English
Alessandro1 voteHello Alessandro,
Thank you for sharing your idea to disable the message preview option. It will be considered for future versions. Currently you can disable this for all users when they login by setting the following key in the [Default:UserOverrides] section of the domains.ini file:
MessageViewLayout=hide
This does not prevent the user from changing the value once they are logged in though. In order to do that you will have to edit WorldClient\HTML\LookOut\pages\menu.js and remove lines 146, 149-152. Save the file and then restart WorldClient.
If you’d like further assistance with this, please contact on our support team. All of our support options can be found at www.altn.com/support.

add notes to email
I would like to add a notation to an email, or be able to change its subject line without sending it again.
Here is how I would use that: I am running a technical support email inbox and voicemail. I keep email folders for individual customers so I can have all of our communications in one place.
When voicemail comes in, the recorded message is sent via email to the inbox. When it gets to the inbox, it has a subject line generated by the voicemail service. So by looking at it, I can't associate with a particular customer: I…

WorldClient signatures position
It would be nice to be allowed to put the signature where we want; below our reply, after the quote...
Right now the signature is put after everything. That makes ti difficult to our client to see where the email is coming from.
1 voteHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea to specify the location of signature in WorldClient, It will be considered for future versions.

BASIC or Kerberos authentification on worldclient
Hi,
Ability to have BASIC or Kerberos authentification on worldclient with the integrated webserver or with external like IIS.
This type of authentification would be great when using a IAM and/or a reverse proxy.
1 voteHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea to add support for Kerberos. It will be considered for future versions.

In WC, change the BlackList method for better security concerns.
The current method requires the user to open or preview an email, where some threats take place at time of open or preview.
Rather, demonstrate a right-click or menu button option that will display only the list of email accounts within the message to toggle the choice to BlackList any and all accounts within that one message in one sweep.
We follow a policy to never preview E-mail, and coupled with viewing Email's full contact information, we prevent many of the issues that threaten payload type threats. (too bad I can't add a screen capture of what I mean right…

Sending email in WC,drop down, choose a category / sent folder. I wish I could add a sent category and it auto move to specific sent folder
Sending email in World Client, add a drop down to choose a category / sent folder. I wish I could add a sent category and have it auto move my sent message to specific sent folder. Many times I want things categorized while sending for followup etc..
1 voteHello Tray,
Thanks for providing your suggestion on adding a category / Sent Folder and have it move the email to a specified folder. It will be considered for future versions.

Appointments/Meeting Request Templates
Often times we find ourselves creating the same type of appointment, with the same info over and over again. Not to be confused with a recurring appointment. For example, creating an meeting request for a conference call where everyone will use our conference bridge to call in. Some of this info changes, but much of it is static (ie the conference bridge info never changes). It would be cool to have appointment/meeting request templates where we could click the template name and it would populate the WorldClient appointment fields with information, sparing you having to type the same info over…

OC/WC : Add full support to task embedded elements (OLE)
Actually WC doesn't support task containing embedded elements or graphical element (bold, underline) like Outlook does, so when you use OC to sync, those elements are lost.

Highlight IMAP folder when new mail is detected in Worldclient
Adjust the folder color when new mail is detected in a subscribed folder.
If the folder has no unread email, it will be normal text.
If the folder has one unread email, it will be bold.
If the folder receives a new email, it will be bold and highlighted.
When the user views the folder, the highlight will disappear, however it can stay bold if there is unread items in the folder.Thunderbird currently has this feature, described here: http://kb.mozillazine.org/How_do_I_check_for_new_messages_in_other_folders
1 voteWe will consider add this in future versions of WorldClient.

Modernise Webmail Gui
In order to be able to sell Mdaemon to prospective new clients I do need to wow them a bit with the GUI as this is the first thing that most end clients see and care about. They don't care about spam filtering, back end administration etc which are the things that I care about for Mdaemon.
I don't think that you need to make huge changes to your CSS coding. In fact, most of the changes I am suggesting would probably be quite minor.
Replace the flag, category, select icons etc with more modern looking icons. A lot of…

All Unread and All Flagged Emails in Mobile Theme
Would it be possible to implement the same All Unread and All Flagged Email Smart inbox Functionality that is available in the Main Desktop Theme into the Mobile Theme. For a mobile phone this concept is even more necessary and useful than it is on a desktop computer as being able to view all unread emails in one view would eliminate a lot of scrolling on the phone changing subfolders (if you are using imap filters). Thank you.
1 voteHello Robert,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to prompt users of the mobile theme to add the default search folders. It will be considered for future versions.
