airsync log folder, not cleaning up old logs, and also fills drive
The AirSync Log Folder is not being cleaned up / deleted after x amount days, like the rest of the log folders. Due to someone recently suggesting that attachments should be in log files, this now doubles the disk usage and consumes all the space on a drive. This is a serious issue as it causes services to start failing, etc.. Please fix the log cleanup service to also clean up the AirSync folder as expected...
Hello Tray,
Thanks for sharing your idea with us. Do you have XML logging enabled for ActiveSync?
XML logging is only intended to be used for debugging purposes. We highly recommend not leaving it enabled unless you are debugging as it generates thousands of files on disk and as you have experienced it will consume all the space on the drive. If you must have it enabled, I’d recommend using a script or some other tool to archive the logs.
Thanks,
Arron
