Jump to entry in logs in tab view

In the Remote Administration in logs, I am finding it very frustrating to use because I might filter for something like email@domain.co.uk and it will show the entries in the log with the date etc, but I cannot click on an entry to jump to that location in the log.

Because I am using one all log (rather than daily logs), I am jumping back 50 pages at a time or more to get nearer to the week that I am looking at, then jumping 10 pages etc at a time to get around the day and jumping a few pages at a time to get to the hour. I once spent about 30 minutes trying to find a specific log entry doing this.

We really need to be able to do a filter which opens in a new tab and then be able to select an entry and jump to that in a new tab or something. If I am looking for a dozen different entries, it can take me a couple of hours to get to the right page for each entry. Very time consuming. Could we improve upon this

    I just want to say that I use the feature quite a bit. It saves me a lot of time scrolling through pages.

    I would recommend two improvements.

    When you click on a link have it open up in a tab same screen size as the main window.

    Second, enable users to go back to the main tab and select another link to open up in a third tab etc. This way you can open up multiple times in the log and this will speed up the log troubleshooting as there is a delay of a few minutes between selecting the link and opening the page if the log file size is several GB's

    Hi Arron,

    Thank you very much for adding this functionality. This will greatly improve using the logs although eventually I will be using Sawmill Analyser more. However, it will still be very useful when I just need to view something quickly.

    Is this coming out in the next MDPC release. I have just upgraded to the latest release end of August. When is the next MDPC release coming out? I am running version 18.02.

    Hi Arron

    I think that, long time you didn't change/improve anything in MD. Logging & now its a good time for some improvement.
    As you now, MD. Logging is one of the best diagnostic solution for admins & it seems that adding some facility like filters, tabular log or such a things is good idea for these changes.
