Store message in a database
Hi,
With huge mail box on IMAP Mdaemon is a bit slow, store mail in a free (of course) db could be a very good features, easier to retrieve a mail (a simple sql command line to search throught thousand message for example). Easier to backup and move (have you try to move the directory users from a server to an other server with 500 gb of mail) , more securised.
170 votesHello,
At this time we have decided to not change MDaemon to store messages in a database.
Thank you all for your feedback!

I would like the option to install WorldClient on a separate machine
I would like the option to install WorldClient on a separate machine from MDaemon. Currently WorldClient must be running on the same machine with MDaemon and its not very secure to have an open port on your firewall that connects to your mail server on the LAN.
67 votesHello,
At this time we have decided to not allow Webmail to be installed on a separate machine.
Thank you all for your feedback.

Allow multiple users to login to the same WorldClient account at the same time. Currently only one person can be logged into the account at a time.

At this time we have decided to not include the ability for multiple users to login to the same webmail account at the same time.
Thank you for your feedback!

Adding a WorldClient Android App!
Instead of using the ActiveSync (Which causes a NUMBER of issues with peoples personal info/data), I feel Mdaemon would be MUCH better suited with an separate APP for Android that allowed completely separate control/ snyc of Email/ Cal/ Contacts. We have been a user of Altn products for 10 years (love it), and would be happy to pay a reasonable price for a server side product and then the APP price!
35 votesHello,
Thanks for sharing your feedback with us. Unfortunately, at this time we have no plans to develop our own WorldClient application for Android or other mobile devices.
Thanks,

Desktop Client?
You have the server and you have the webmail. What about a desktop client?
The only client you support is Outlook, which does not work well. In my opinion, Outlook is a poor product.
If you want to take MDaemon to the next level, you need to add the third piece of the puzzle, a fully supported desktop client. One that is fully sync'd with the server.
The only client I've seen that can currently compete with Outlook is eM Client, but there is no way the sync with it.
I see that CalDav, WebDav & CardDav support has been…33 votesThank you for sharing your idea on developing a Desktop Email Client. MDaemon supports any email clients that use POP3, IMAP, SMTP, SyncML, ActiveSync, CardDAV, and CalDAV. We recommend using your favorite 3rd party desktop client. Unfortunately, at this time we do not have plans to develop our own desktop email client.
Thanks,

While I support the idea for CalDAV, CardDAV and WebDAV, a seperate Outlook Connector for Mac is needed.
Outlook for Mac does not support those protocols, nor would those protocols allow for folder sharing, out of office setup, etc.
22 votesHello,
At this time we do not have plans to develop an MDaemon Connector plugin for Outlook running on Mac. Thank you all for your feedback.

Linux Version of Mdeamon
I have currently been forced to move away from our beloved Mdaemon to icewarp due to two major considerations:
We needed a Linux (Centos) version to install for our Linux servers and a failover / redundant ability, if you could look into this we would move back in a heart beat. We been with Mdaemon since version 6 onwords.
15 votesHello Peter,
Thank you for sharing your idea of having a version of MDaemon that would run in a Linux environment.
Unfortunately, at this time we have no plans to develop a Linux version of MDaemon.
Thanks,

Free/Busy information can not be fetched when using MS Outlook OFT-Files
Because of recurring appointments we use MS Outlook templates (.oft-files) to manage invitations and events held in our institution. When using the OutlookConnector to keep data in sync with our MDaemon Mail Server, Outlook is not able to fetch free/busy information for Accounts (neither people- nor ressource-accounts), if the appointment is created with an template.
Proper use of .oft-files with OutlookConnector would be very helpful, having the possibilty to save (appointment-) templates in WorldClient would be even better.
11 votesHello Everyone,
We have been unable to reproduce an issue with fetching Free/Busy information when using an OFT file. Please contact technical support, and include your oft file, so that we may investigate the issue further.

Documents only
Since the Document-Feature could be very helpful as an alternative way of sharing files between user accounts, we would like to suggest making it possible to deactivate mail, calendar, notes and task for individual accounts. This would make it possible to (only) share files with certain users, without giving access to a fully working e-mail-account.
9 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea to create a documents only view. Unfortunately we have decided to not implement this functionality.
Thanks again,

Challenge-Response Email
Hi,
can you consider to add feature chalenge-response email, for the first time only if someone send an email from domain has been known or unknown, the server will check whether the domain has a valid reputation, ptr record, etc... if not the server will send a verification email to the sender to check if the sender is human or spam ? and send to postmaster for this information. and if the sender follow the link or other scheme on verification email, the server will automatically add the domain into whitelist in reverse lookup and the email has been hold…

Thank you for submitting your idea to add a challenge response system to MDaemon. Unfortunately, we have no plans to implement a challenge response system.

Add email "opened" tracking gif function to WorldClient
Add email "opened" tracking gif function to WorldClient. Something like what CritSend and other smtp relay services provide. A column in WorldClient could show the status of the message to see if it was opened by the recipient. I believe they are doing this via a hidden gif that is embedded in the email and tracked when accessed on the mailserver. Would be great for people using mdaemon for mailing lists but also good for day to day usage.
8 votesHello,
At this time we do not have plans to add the ability to include a tracking image in emails.
Thank you all for your feedback.

Disable content filter, for user who are in whitelist
Hello
Could you make something for mdaemon that,
when a user is in the whitlist's antispam'' (sender/receipient) the content filter is disable for them.
Actually, we have had some words forbbiden to limit spam in content rules. Actually if sender is in whitelist and use forbidden word the mail goes to spam trap also.
We'd like for users in whitelist to and from, content rules are disable for them
thanks
8 votesHello,
Thank you for the suggestion to exclude allow listed senders from the content filter. Unfortunately we have decided to not implement this functionality. if you need to exclude an address from processing, you can create a content filter rule to check for the address and stop all processing.

Worldclient scrolling calendar
When using WC - if viewing calendar in 'weekly' mode, the header information (day of the week) locks to the top and scrolls up and down. If using the 'split calendar', it doesn't. Would like to see locking headers on all calendar modes.
6 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea to lock the header information when using the split calendar. Unfortunately we have decided to not make these changes in the WorldClient theme.

Hello,
Unfortunately we have decided to not include this functionality in MDaemon, however, there are a number of third party tools available that allow you to achieve this, including some that integrate with MDaemon.
Thanks,
