Modify Password Expiration configuration
I would like a small change to this function. The counting of days should start at 0 when you set maximum days value. This will prevent a lot of users to get locked out of their account before they get any warning about an expiring password.
You can also include a link to the correct webpage in the warning email and make this link available even if the users don't have Worldclient access.3 votesHello,
Thanks for sharing your idea with us. It will be considered for future versions.

Log File Viewer file size limitation needs to be increased
Currently when you open up a session row from the Queue and Statistics Mnager (from an IMAP log file for example), the file size in the log file viewer will never exeed 64k. This is not useful for those very long sessions that need to be examined. This file size limitation should be increased.
1 voteHello Norwyn,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to increase the amount of data the Queue and Stats Manager will load when viewing a log session. It will be considered for future versions.

WebAdmin - Role based access
Hi,
An option to add roles in WebAdmin if made available would be great.
We want to provide role based access to our Email support staff and that means when I create a role i should also be given an option to select modules which belongs to that role. For Example if i create a role by name Email Security then i should have an option while role creation to add Security and Antispam modules.
I would like to see this feature in Mdaemon. Thanks,

Automatically disable/freeze/delete accounts on being inactive for a specific period

2 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your ideas to expand the inactive account functionality. It will be considered for future versions of MDaemon.

Add an email submit address for a global whitelist that affects all accounts.
Right now the whitelist@ works on a per account basis. It doesn't work for aliases and/or mailing lists and it is limited to mail sent only to a specific account. This is too restrictive in a shared environment. Currently as an admin, I have to add entries manually to the global whitelist. This is time consuming. Access to add entries could be allowed for all accounts, or restricted by a flag to only specific accounts.
2 votesThank you for sharing your idea on adding an email submit address for a global whitelist. It will be considered for future versions.

Trusted hosts per domain
It would be very useful to be able to define Trusted Hosts per domain.
This would perhaps look / operate just like the Sender Blacklist Gui.1 voteHello Matthew,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to include Trusted Hosts per Domain. It will be considered for future versions.

ticketing
Ticketing
Ability to generate a ticket internally, which means an MDaemon account can send an email from common address, creating a new ticket.
1 voteHello Luca,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us. We have a rule that can be manually added that provides the ability to generate a ticket internally. I’ll email you the rule along with instructions.
Also, we are considering adding this rule in future versions.
Thanks

Some time one team of more than two member are assigned one Email ID, and one try to log in while another user is already logged in than the session abruptly terminates
It would be nice if a user is logged in to worldclient using a Email ID and some one else tries to log in from different location using same Email ID, the interface to that other user gives warning message that some one is using this User ID right now (Maybe with IP address if possible).
3 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us to improve the error message provided when a second user logs into an account using WorldClient. This will be considered for future versions.

Rename attachments.zip
When downloading ZIP of the message, the defaul name for the file shouldn't be attachments.zip, but the name of the file shoud be the subject of then message (or at least a part of it). Users have often to save messages in shared folders and they must all the times change the name of the file, which is boring....
2 votesHello,
Thank you for sharing your idea to use the subject of the message to name the zip file that is saved. Your suggestion will be considered for future versions.

Add an option to toggle the MSA port exemption from PTR on and off.
Include and option so that the MSA (port 587 by default) can be subject to the same kind of filtering as other SMTP ports to help with filtering for compromised accounts.
0 votesHello Hans,
Thank you for sharing your idea to enforce PTR lookups on MSA ports. It will be considered for future versions.

reverse lookup report
Reverse Lookup Report.
for some case, sometimes there is good email without an ptr record. it make us always get complain from our user, and we must do whitelist from that email.
sound it's simple but, mostly our email partner didnt have a ptr record, and it make us very busy to find out rejected email on our server.
we hope mdaemon can make a report to identify rejected mail from reverse lookup.
10 votesHello Ruben,
Thank you for sharing your idea with us. The ability to generate a report that shows messages rejected because of PTR records will be considered for future versions.

Add NFSv4 ACL to folders and folder items
Implement NFSv4 ACL on folders and folder items on the server and use full ACLs for WorldClient, and proper subsets for IMAP ACLs and OC ACL.
FOLDERS: this would simply require to change what MDaemon writes in HIWATER.MRK, section [Access Control], from current
john@example.com=lrswipcda
to something like the following
john@example.com=rwxpDdaARWcCos:fd
FOLDER ITEMS: extend Imap.mrk record adding a bitmap for full NFSv4 ALC flags
1 voteHello Emanuele,
Thank you for continuing to share your ideas with us. NFSv4 ACL support will be considered for future versions of MDaemon.

Ability to set password expiration options per domain.
Ability to set password expiration options per domain.
1 voteHello Walter,
Thank you for sharing your ideas with us.
The ability to lock an account after X authentication failures already exists in MDaemon.
The ability to see the list of attached files already exists in WorldClient.
You have already submitted your idea to allow domain administrators to manage public folders.
I will create a new idea idea for your suggestion to be able to search contacts based on criteria other than name so we can track them independently.
Your idea to allow password expiration to be configured per domain will be considered for future versions.

Spam Trap handling from within MD GUI.
Add "Spam Trap" handling from within the MD GUI so you don't need to login to WorldClient/WebAdmin to administrate this.
Add same functionality as in WebAdmin with "Release" and "Release + Copy to non spam folder".
